It has been reported that Apple is working on a new smart tag which is aimed at helping the customers to find their misplaced items through iPhones. This is similar to the Tile Bluetooth trackers that are present in the market. 9to5Mac is the first one to post this news.
This tag would be linked to an iCloud account of the user via an iPhone and it is designed in a way that it can be attached to any kind of item like wallet, keys, etc. Users will get notified when the specific tagged item is too far from the iPhone. This can be considered as a reminder for the owners so that they won’t leave their essentials anywhere. According to 9to5Mac, the gadget is being referred to as B389 as of now.
Apple is Designing new App Replacing Find my iPhone and Find My Friends
This report was given by Guilherme Rambo, the man who identified the design of iPhone XS Max before its debut. Although he hasn’t given much information about this gadget, he has mentioned that it will be released into the market in September 2019 in the annual event of iPhone.
Apple is also designing a new app which will replace two apps- Find My Friends and Find My iPhone with a new app that will be serving both purposes. This app is designed to work across both Mac and iOS. This new app will have an advanced feature which has the ability to track the device even when it is offline.
This new accessory will be aligning with Apple’s strategy of finding the latest ways to leverage the existing database of 900 million iPhones through some of the new products and services that will go with them.
