Most of the time, the issue is because of some software or driver-related issues. If you are sure that it is a driver-related issue, you can proceed with the following fixes to try to fix the Generic PnP Monitor problem on Windows 10.
Method 1: Update Windows 10
Though Windows updates come with previous bugs and error fixes, so you can pretty much rely on Windows 10 update to fix your PnP Monitor issue.
To update your Windows 10, firstly connect to a secure and reliable Internet Connection. Then press the Windows Key + I buttons on your Keyboard to Open up the Windows Settings.

Step 4) Now, to install the PnP Monitor Driver again, Unplug the Monitor, then Plug it again. On the device Manager, click on the Action from the Menu bar and select the Scan for Hardware changes option from the sub-menu.
Windows will automatically scan for the Generic PnP Monitor and will install its driver automatically from the internet.
Method 3: Updating PnP Monitor and Graphics Drivers
The Drivers you have installed in Windows for PnP Monitors might be outdated and have compatibility issues. Also, if you have an outdated graphics driver, it may cause some issues related to the PnP Monitor.

Go to the Windows Search Bar and Type CMD, right-click on the command prompt and select Run as administrator.
Type the command sfc/scannow in the command prompt and press enter to execute. Ensure you are connected to the Internet.
Note: This can take several minutes, so wait until it ends. Then restart your PC and check if the issue is solved.
Method 5: Reconnect Monitor
Sometimes, a problem is not much that big, but a little bit of change can solve a problem. it happens rarely, but you can try it also.
- Turn Off your computer and unplug the monitor.
- Remove the power cord from your computer as well as from your monitor.
- Now unplug VGA or video cable from the CPU and wait for few minutes.
- After some time, plugin all the cables and restart your computer.
