ChatGPT app on iPhone supports Bing Search, letting users make queries as they do in regular web browsers but in the chatbot app.

Well, this is available only for ChatGPT Plus users and should be enabled in settings before using so. OpenAI says that browsing results from these queries will be more comprehensive and up-to-date.

Bing Search on ChatGPT

Soon after taking the world by storm, OpenAI’s ChatGPT faces severe competition from the rivals like Google Bard, made in just a couple of months to bring its pie in the AI race. Though they’re equally competitive, ChatGPT is creating better progress in all terms – all thanks to Microsoft, which backed the AI chatbot maker with $10 billion in funding.

This partnership with OpenAI has helped Microsoft a lot, with its GPT model being leveraged to most of Microsoft’s products, like Office and Bing Search. Well, the deal also favours ChatGPT, as the AI chatbot has just added Microsoft’s Bing Search to its app on iOS.

To the unknown, OpenAI has made a dedicated ChatGPT app for iOS, letting iPhone users leverage its AI capabilities better and faster. And now, this app has just added the Bing Search browsing option available to ChatGPT Plus users. Adding to this, OpenAI in said in Apple’s notes as;

“Plus, users can now use ‘Browsing’ to get comprehensive answers and current insights on events and information that extend beyond the model’s original training data.”

Interested users on the paid Plus tier can try this by enabling the “Browsing” option in the “New Features” section of the app and selecting GPT-4 in the model switcher. This will open a “Browse with Bing” mode, where you can browse the web with GPT capabilities.
