From now onwards any mobile launched by Huawei won’t get Android operating system in it. The mobiles that already have Android OS won’t get any further updates. Huawei has already started pushing out EMUI 9.0 software along with Android Pie to the existing users. Because of this trade ban, the company started sending the updates to more number of users.

Huawei started sending out EMUI 9.0 update by 2018 last but the number of receivers that got the update was very less back then. Now the number has increased and Huawei is planning to provide the update for 100 million devices.

As of now, there are 80 million devices running on EMUI 9.0 and it will reach 100 million by the end of this month. Huawei is now pushing the update to Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, Huawei P10, P10 Pro, P20, P 20 Pro and the new Mate 20 Lite.

The company is planning to roll out the update to budget smartphones too. Nova 3 line will get the software update pretty soon. Huawei is planning to equip all the smartphones with the latest Android version so that they can keep them updated.

As there won’t be any future Android updates for these mobiles, Huawei want to keep them updated with the latest version.
