Finally, Plex has launched its own free streaming platform that is home to some of the popular and critical acclaimed Movies and TV shows. This ad-supported streaming service is launched in over 220 countries and work on all devices supported by Plex. You can enjoy this free content with a simple registration with Plex.

Is there any way to avoid these ads?

It is very clear that you don’t have to pay any subscription or hidden fee, but you do have to watch those ads while streaming the content. There is no way around it even if you are a Plex Pass subscriber. The platform will feature the traditional ad break and payroll ads. However, it will serve only one-third of what you see on cable.

How can you watch free movies on Plex?

First, you have to make a free account with Plex. Then you can either download the plex app or visit their website. Under which you will see, ‘Free to Watch,’ option. In which, you can browse through hundreds of free TV shows, film, music, documentaries, and much more.

What kind of movies does the platform offer?

Most films are classics, award-winning from the previous generation. So, don’t expect to find Avengers or Irishman on it. But some of the gems on the platform are Apocalypse Now, The Terminator, Lord of War, Frequency, Ghost in the shell, much more. Obviously, this collection doesn’t rival Netflix or Amazon Prime, but you are getting these free of cost. This is enough for you to at least give it a try.

What other things does Plex offer?

In October of last year, Plex launched a similar service – Plex Web Shows. You can watch free web series on that ad-supported platform. After this, they announced a deal with the TIDAL music service. Plex Pass users would get access to 60 million tracks at a discount rate.
