Since the release of this game, it gained popularity and had a great start with more than six million copies within a week. On the official twitter account of The Pokemon Company, the figures crossed all the records of the Nintendo Switch game for installation at such a high pace.
The Pokémon Sword and Shield game are separate releases technically but the content is almost identical.
These games from the Pokemon Company are strong performers in real words. All the previous releases such as Sun and Moon for 3DS have sold out around 16.17 million copies to the till date as per the Nintendo and in the West, it was the fastest-selling games of the company. It is also noting that the price point for the sold rate for games is quite less and 3DS has a larger base for the installation.
If we’re talking about other games like Pokemon’s Let’s Go Pikachu! And Let’s Go, Eevee!, then these games have 11.8 million copies sold out in a whole. Now, Sword and Shield are on the way to beat the record on the basis of the sale in the first week.
Along with its latest version of Pokemon, the release of Sword and Shield has become one of the Nintendo Switch Lite that can easily play by hand.
