WhatsApp to Let Users View Status From Their Profile Icons

WhatsApp has now made it possible to transfer chat history from one iOS device to another Android device. According to reports, WhatsApp has been working on this feature for quite some time. During numerous beta testing, the functionality had also been discovered and activated.

Before this update, WhatsApp users were required to delete their conversation history if they moved operating systems, for example, from iOS to Android or vice versa. It is possible to move chat history from one Android smartphone to another Android device. However, there was no way to migrate conversations between iOS and Android earlier.

Particularly noteworthy is that the feature will first be available on any Samsung smartphone running Android 10 or above and will eventually be made available on a wider range of Android devices.

When setting up a new device, users will be allowed to safely transfer their conversations from one device to another, saving them time and effort. A USB-C to Lightning cable, on the other hand, would be required for this procedure.

Users must have WhatsApp iOS 2.21.160.17 or above on their previous iPhone device to use this function, and WhatsApp Android 2.21.16.20 or higher on their new Samsung phone to utilize this feature.

WhatsApp users must utilize the same phone number as they did on the previous iPhone, and the Samsung phone must be brand new. If the device is not brand new, users will need to conduct a factory reset on their Samsung phones before they can begin transferring chats.
