Facebook is the most popular social media platform that connects you with your friends and family. According to the latest reports, the Facebook developers are planning to make Church on Facebook. The developers met Hillsong and are researching on how the church would look like on Facebook and what apps can be created for financial income.

Churches are Partnering with Facebook and Streaming their Services Online

Facebook wants you to Connect with God. On Facebook

During the Covid-19 pandemic, before the opening of Hillsong in Atlanta, its pastor Sam Collier asked for advice on building a church in a pandemic.

At the grand opening of Hillsong in June, the church released news saying it was “partnering with Facebook” and has started streaming its services on the platform.

Apart from this, pastor Sam couldn’t share much as he had signed an agreement. He said

“They are teaching us; we are teaching them. Together we are discovering what the future of the church could be on Facebook.”

Recently, Facebook has passed $1 Trillion in the market. It looks like a partnership for the church’s main goal is to share the messages of Jesus. However, the company is preparing for partnerships with other faith communities also in the past few years, like Assemblies of God and the Church of God in Christ.

However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, everything is pushed online; even the religious groups are explored in a new way. Facebook has more opportunity to get more users on its platform.

The company aims to become a virtual home for churches, mosques, synagogues, and other religious life.

Most of Facebook’s partnerships have religious organizations to test the new products. Facebook tested a prayer feature where Facebook groups members can post prayer requests and others can respond to them.
