If you’re restricted to your home like us, we have a better idea. Watching movies or series passes your time anyway, but watching something related to our situation excites us even more. So here we suggest you a movie from 2011 – Contagion, which resembles the ongoing pandemic and consequences we’re facing. And the surged interest of Contagion led the movie cast to make individual videos asking people to follows health protocols.

“Until we have a cure, you can be that”

That’s the motive filtered from all cast’s sayings. Stars Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jennifer Ehle, Marion Cotillard, and Laurence Fishburne have made videos in association with the University of Columbia Mailman School of Public Health. They’ll advise the public about precautions that need to be taken for dealing with Coronavirus.

This is getting serious, as Director of Columbia University’s Center for Infection and Immunity and one of the scientific consultants for contagion, Ian Lipkin, has just diagnosed with Coronavirus! This, along with a recent spike of interest in the movie, led the cast to make advisory videos for the public, suggesting them the measures.

A Closest Depiction

Contagion is one of a kind. The plot perfectly depicts our situation, right from the beginning. The story starts with a virus evolving in China and then passing onto pigs and humans finally. This was further carried by people to a Chef in Hong Kong and then to an American woman, who finally spreads throughout the US and the pandemic continuously around the world. This is exactly what we’re having now!

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, people wondered how can one be this sure, as they all are tuning to this movie now. If you’re interested in how it passed, you can stream in Netflix by changing your VPN to Canada, as other Netflix regions aren’t showing this. If you’re interested in a VPN, check out the best ones. Other options include renting the movie on YouTube or Hulu or iTunes. You can try this Amazon Prime too.
