Days after Elon Musk expressed his views on joining the Twitter board, he overturned his decision to do so now.

This comes from Parag Agarwal, the CEO of Twitter who shared a post saying Musk’s stance on joining the board has changed. Believing it’s for the nest, he said the company values his input and asked the employees to stay focused on what they’re working on.

Musk Won’t Join the Twitter’s Board

Just last week, the CEO and co-founder of Tesla confirmed buying a 9.2% stake in Twitter – his most active social platform. Following this, he expressed joining the company’s board of directors too – a move that’s welcomed by the community and the current Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal.

But, all of a sudden, Elon Musk decided not to join the board of Twitter! This confirmation comes from Parag Agarwal, who said that decision came after a lot of discussions involving Musk and current board members.

Believing this is for the best, Parag said

“We have and will always value input from our shareholders whether they are on our Board or not. Elon is our biggest shareholder and we will remain open to his input.”

He further said that there will be distractions ahead, but the goals and priorities of Twitter remain unchanged. So, he advised his employees to tune out the noise, and stay focused on what they are building now. Also, “The decisions we make and how we execute is in our hands, no one else’s,” he said.

Since last week, Musk has been asking for recommendations from his community about the needed changes that should be made to Twitter. These include tuning the Twitter Blue subscription, converting the company’s San Francisco Headquarters into a shelter for the homeless, etc.
