Fulfilling its promise made at the time of launch, Google is adding free One VPN support to all the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro handsets.

Eligible users can see the addition upon opening their Google One app and it can be managed through the Benefits tab. This free One VPN is available for 5 years to all Pixel 7 and 7 Pro users.

Free VPN to Pixel 7 and 7 Pro Users

It’s not even two months since the Pixel 7 series launched, but these handsets have already become the favorite of many Android enthusiasts. Both Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are considered the best alternatives to Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series, while some are switching from iPhones to Pixel flagships.

And it’s all because of the high-end hardware and clean software Google stuffed into the Pixel 7 series, making the experience rich. Well, the company has had a standing promise of offering free VPN to the Pixel 7 series, which it now fulfills.

According to Android Police, Google is gradually adding support for its One VPN to all Pixel 7 and 7 Pro phones in 17 countries. Well, it’s not available in India or Singapore yet and doesn’t work on certain account types like the Workspace emails or organizational emails (that are supervised by your employer).

Other than those, it works just fine on the rest. Pixel 7 series users should open their Google One app to see this addition, which can be managed from the Benefits tab later. Also, you can find a simple on/off toggle on the settings page alongside a button to temporarily disable it for five minutes.

This option is even found in the phone’s Settings app and shows up a VPN icon in the status bar when enabled. While it’s free for the Pixel 7 phones, users need to pay if they want to use it on other devices. And the least plan starts at $10 a month, offering 2TB+ cloud storage.
