1. Click on this link, and you will be headed to the ‘Hide Online for WhatsApp Web’ extension page on Chrome Web Store.
2. Here, click on the Add to Chrome button appearing in blue color, and then click on the Add Extension button to confirm adding the extension to your browser.
3. Once done, open your WhatsApp Web on your PC.
4. Then, click on the extension icon and the icon for Hide Online For WhatsApp Web from the toolbar.
5. Once done, select the Hide my online status option and click on the Apply button to save the changes.
6. Now, reload/refresh your current page to apply all the changes. 
7. Lastly, check if your online status is hidden or still visible. 

2. Using WAIncognito Extension 

Another extension that you can use for hiding your online status on WhatsApp web is WAIncognito Extension. This extension can hide your online status and turn off read receipts. To use it, follow the steps given below-

1. To visit the WAIncognito extension page click on this link.
2. Click on the Add to Chrome button.
3. Now, on the confirmation prompt, click the Add extension button to confirm adding the extension to your browser.
4. Now, open WhatsApp Web on your browser. You will see the incognito icon at the top of your chats once the extension has been installed.
5. Click on the incognito icon, and select the Don’t send “Last seen” and “Online” updates options.
6. Refresh/reload the page and the changes will be made. Your online status will now be hidden.
