Huawei has brought a new search engine feature in the Huawei Petal. Now, the Huawei Petal Search feature will be a competitor to the Google search engine. Petal Search helps users to find and install apps just like Play Store. But now, it has become a big platform with this new feature.
Search Engine Feature On Huawei Petal Search
Earlier in June, Huawei launched Petal Search for all Huawei phones. Huaweiโs phone is equipped with Google Play or Apple App Store to one with HMS (Huaweiโs Mobile Services) and the AppGallery store.
As there is no access to Google Mobile Services (GMS), the company was working on its replacements for the apps which it didnโt have in its arsenal like maps. If you have tried Petal Search then you will know it very well.
In the Petal Search engine, you can search for news, shopping, images, flights, and many more apps. Mainly, it will show news, shopping, travel, and local business results. Huawei has mainly focused on HMS and App Gallery to local markets from the beginning. It has made an effort to attract local partners for search fits in it.
Huaweiโs own technology will be used in a few regions. The PetalBot will crawl and index the web to show the results. And other partners will be involved with the French search engine Qwant. The company will not use a single provider for its results.
It will support, visual, and voice search functions with Huawei visual search tool HiTouch. There will be an extensive artificial intelligence (A.I.) expertise feature. Everything will be accessed through a dedicated app, or as a widget on the home screen. It is just like Googleโs search bar on the Android phone.
Petal Search will be available through EMUI, with the pull-down search menu, and via Celia virtual assistant. All the features will be available regularly as the company promises to bring new features every month.
Already, Petal Search is available on modern Huawei smartphones, but the full search experience will be out regularly in particular regions.
