After 27 republicans and 3 democrats pulled out for the US presidential race this year, the final standings are between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. While the campaign is heating up gradually, a sudden Twitter announcement by one of America’s famous rapper, Kanye West wondered everyone. He tweeted that he’d be running for the US presidential election of 2020, which is scheduled for November this year.

Well, it’s still unclear if Kanye West is serious about this, as there’s just a mere tweet till now. There are records shown by him filing for a nomination, which is a must for anyone competing. And if this is true, he should be running as an independent candidate, from states that haven’t closed nomination filing yet.
This decision is already vouched by famous YouTuber Marques Brownlee and even Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX. Further, Kim Kardashian too supported West’s decision on Twitter, where she would become First Lady of the US if West wins! This news is shocking at the same time since both Kanye West and Elon Musk are active vocal supporters of Donald Trump throughout.
And turning against all of sudden is unanticipated. As the public assumes, this declaration is to lend support to the black community by turning up as President, who have been facing several discrimination acts for decades. Further, the recent custodial death of George Floyd could have fuelled this decision, as protests against Trump are happening across the nation.
