After being in testing phase for a while, Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 global stable update is coming to the Indian Redmi Note 8 Pro users. while many have been using the pilot program till date, they can now upgrade to the stable OS based on Android 10. Though the new stable update doesn’t bring any new features, it’s free from bugs.
MIUI 12 Global Stable Update For Redmi Note 8 Pro
Xiaomi India has earlier announced the launch of MIUI 12 coming to Indian users soon. Several handsets like Mi 10, Poco X2, Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro have received the update weeks back, but the mid-rangers didn’t. Now, it’s time for the hit Redmi handset – Redmi Note 8 Pro to get this opportunity.
As per fossbytes, the MIUI 12 global stable update is rolling out for all Redmi Note 8 Pro users in India, and they can update it manually or wait for the over-the-air notification. If you’re trying it manually, check Settings > About Phone > System Update. You should see the Android 10 based MIUI 12 available, download and install.
Some users of Redmi Note 8 Pro have been using the beta version of MIUI 12 for a while, and now it’s official and stable. Though this stable version didn’t have any new features, it’s said to be rolling out bug-free, thus good. Next in the line for this stable update are the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 7 series.
