Reliance Jio, India’s lately launched telecom that disrupted the market is gearing up for new service. The company just announced to provide free JioFiber (it’s a broadband connection) of 10Mbps to those people locked at home amidst coronavirus breakout. This plan is to entertain or support them working throughout this breakout. It pledged to serve in those feasible areas by waving off service charges.
A Basic Plan For Free!
It’s true that India’s suffering. But that’s for a reasonable cause. As the country’s ruling government decided to restrict the movement of people, all of them are tuning in to work from home modes. This required fair resources to proceed with and Jio is doing its part for that. The company has announced via its Twitter handle to offer its basic JioFiber plan for free!

Understanding more, it’s only for new subscribers, who should be readying their own routers and pay a refundable deposit of Rs.1,500. Existing users would get their data cap doubled. While this is a fair contribution by the company, it further says to be serving those areas which are feasible. So if you see anyone in your locality having JioFiber, you’re good to go.
This is part of India’s campaign of #CoronaHaaregaIndiaJeetega, which happens for 21days lockdown to stop spreading of Coronavirus. Jio has previously announced that its users can even recharge their mobiles through ATMs! This is to simplify access to services amidst movement restrictions.
With regard to JioFiber, user availing this basic pack can upgrade to commercial plans which range start from Rs.599 to all the way up to Rs.8,499, that has increased FUP limits and speeds. Besides just internet, Jio is also offering premium access to many OTT platforms as Zee, JioTV, Jio Cinema, Hotstar VIP, etc. A subscriber shall also get a free landline connection too.
