  1. Firstly, run Command Prompt as administrator. 
  2. Type and execute the following commands one by one-
    • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  3. Once the process is complete, restart your PC.

4. Disable Third-Party Antivirus

Third-party antivirus or antimalware can interrupt the proper functioning of Windows Security. You can try disabling the third-party antivirus on your system if you are using any.   3. The above commands will reinstall the Windows Security app on your PC.

6. Reset PC

Lastly, if Windows Security is still not working, you can reset your PC. This will reinstall all your apps, reset the settings, and reinstall Windows. To do so, follow the steps given below-

  1. Press Windows key on your keyboard, search for Reset This PC option and open it.
