Now, it’s reported that the company is planning to push its latest update, MIUI 12 based on Android 10 to budget and entry-level devices. As per Gizchina, a community moderator has confirmed that Redmi 8A handsets are about to receive the MIUI 12 update soon. To note, Xiaomi has set the rollout of MIUI 12 in phases.
These are divided as flagships, budget premiums, mid-rangers, and entry-level smartphones. While the top two tiers have already received the latest update and running on it since it’s now reported to push this new version to next phased smartphones.
These include budget smartphones like Redmi 8, 8A, and other old devices from the 7-series, 6-series, and even the 5-series. Most of them contain the regular and Pro variants, which will be getting the stable MIUI 12 based on Android 10 soon. As the moderator has confirmed to be pushing this next month, users may get the beta version anytime in between.
