Adjusting screen brightness is an important task to safeguard your eyes. OEMs of several smart devices like PCs, smartphones, etc., have recognized the importance of this setting and fit in this feature to let users adjust their screen brightness accordingly and lead a healthy screen time. But, this isnā€™t available for all, and in one manner!

For example, brightness settings in laptops are made available through keyboard shortcuts or from the Notification center. For tablets, it can be a slider and found in the notification panel. And for desktop PCs, itā€™s not available at all, but rather be adjustable through the monitorā€™s physical keys.

How to Add Brightness Slider in Windows 10 Notification Center

Note: This works only for Windows 10 laptops and not for desktops. Since desktop can be branded or assembled, keyboard OEMs giving brightness keys wonā€™t often work. Thus, desktop users should check their monitor guide for adjusting the screen brightness.

  1. On your laptop, go to Notification Center by clicking on the icon at the left bottom corner.
  2. Opening it, Expand the settings to see more quick actions.
  3. If already in Expand mode, find an empty space and right-click on empty space, and click on Edit Button.right-click on empty space, and click on Edit Button
  4. Here, go to Add and add the brightness slider and click on Done.
  5. After that you can see brightness slider below other options.
