Bharti Airtel, the second largest telecom company in India, is expanding its 5G services to 125 more cities in the country, totaling the overall count to 265 areas.

Boasting on its underlying technology, Airtel says its 5G Plus can deliver HD video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos, etc., and is a game changer in the country. Jio, on the other hand, is available in 257 cities across India.

Airtel 5G Plus Expansion in India

Telecom is one of the highly competitive sectors in India, especially after the entrance of Jio – a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, led by India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani. As they compete with the best offers and services, Airtel – the second largest player in this field, is expanding its 5G Plus service to more areas.

Per a statement on Monday, the company announced 125 new cities in India – where it’s Airtel 5G Plus would be available. This makes up the total count of over 265 cities in India, where people can enjoy the telecom’s ultrafast network connections.

Aiming to rapidly expand in all the towns and villages in India, Airtel says its 5G technology is widely accepted worldwide. Airtel 5G Plus can be used for HD video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant photo uploading, etc.

This is also the crucial technology that can transform the future IoT sector of India, which is essential for the nation’s development. Talking about today’s expansion, Airtel’s CTO Randeep Sekhon said

“5G has revolutionized the world of the internet, ushering a new era of connectivity and communications that will prove to be a game-changer for the country.”

Airtel says its 5G services are now available in every major city from the upper northern city of Jammu to the southern tip of Kanyakumari and are the most developed ecosystem. Jio, on the other hand, is having its 5G services in over 250 cities at the time of launch.
