In pursuit of allegations over data security, Facebookโs doing everything it can to keep up its name. Though its Libra didnโt make it, it has other ways to catch up with its ecosystem. Today, it announced a new experimental app named Whale.
The Whale is a meme maker, as simple as it is. Facebook has earlier made it clear, that it would be trying out every new trend with its resources, just to keep up with the advancements and not to be left out. And todayโs launch is pretty much interested in the community.
Whale App โ Meme Maker App by Facebook
Developed by NPE team, Whale app is a free meme maker sized about 54MB and for 17+ aged people. Itโs simple to use. Just like other meme makers, Whale allows you to snap a real-time picture or pick one from gallery to layover texts, stickers, images, filters etc.
After which, you get to share that art in social media or any of your chatting apps directly. You can choose from layout designs to numerous effects, all for free without any hidden subscription, the app says. It requires iOS 11.0 or above to run and is compatible for iPhones, iPads and iPod touch.
Note: This app is currently (if not, primarily) available in Canada only. It may reach out to other markets if seemed successful.
There are many
Facebookโs Whale isnโt the first one from its experimentation team. Apps like Moves, Tbh, Moments, Poke, Slingshot, Notify, Hello and Lifstage have been introduced earlier and are not so good. Theyโve been lying around with no much popularity and maybe killed soon. With such past history, we recommend not to indulge much into this new app until you see some popularity in the community, as it may be removed if not successful.
Yet, having a primary trail is needed for judging at least. So here you go Whale app.
