He noted making creative and expressive tools for Meta products in the near future and AI Personas in the long term. This is a concept of using millions of data points regarding user-powered by AI โ and defining their digital profile. This could be unique to everyone in most cases but also be used for targeted advertising in some common points.
Details on how Meta develops its AI Personas are yet to be known, but the company said theyโre โexploring experiences with text (like chat in WhatsApp and Messenger), with images (like creative Instagram filters and ad formats), and with video and multi-modal experiencesโ now.
Cautioning that thereโs a โlot of foundational work to doโ for bringing these projects to life, Zuckerberg earlier stated he wants Meta to be a โleaderโ in the generative AI space. Well, this comes with a lot of hurdles, as the company is already losing billions of dollars in metaverse pivoting. Now adding Generative AI to its bag may only increase the burden, even though it has a lot of scope in the near future.
