Samsung announced a new curved monitor succeeding the Odyssey Neo G9 – with a 57″ display, 8K resolution and 32.9 aspect ratio.

The giga monitor is having the best display from Samsung to date, with all latest features embedded into hardware and software to offer the best viewing experience to users. Further, the company announced 49″ curved OLED gaming monitor and a ViewFinity S9 5K monitor.

Samsung’s New Gaming Monitor

Aside smartphones, Samsung is also a leading OEM in gaming monitors – where the South Korean giant produces some of the high-tech displays with advances features for gamers. In this pursuit, the company today announced the successor of Odyssey Neo G9 – which supports a 8K resolution!

The new monitor is a bit bigger (57″) when compared to the Odyssey Ark (55″) monitor launched last year; including the aspect ratio of 32:9, where the Ark has a 16:9 display. With a resolution of 7,860 x 2,160 pixels, the new monitor touts its 8K display as the best for gamers.

Futher, Samsung boasts it to be the first dual UHD mini-LED monitor, with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and HDR 1000 support. The new Odyssey Neo G9 has a matte display to absorb light and minimize glare, while giving high-performance with 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. Lastly, Samsung notes it to be the first-ever gaming monitor with DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity!

More details on this device are yet to be known, including its availability and pricing. But from what the specifications noted now, this piece could come with a price tag of $3,000 – in line with an earlier report where AMD revealed the same.

Samsung is expected to reveal more key details of this new monitor on the CES 2023 event, which is scheduled to start from 5th January. Keep tuned to us to know when it’s out.
