1. Enable Thumbnails

If the thumbnails are disabled in Windows 11, you may face this issue. Enable the Thumbnails and then see if you still encounter it or not. To do so, follow the steps given below-

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard, search for File Explorer Options, and open it.
  2. Head to the View tab and uncheck the checkbox for Allow show icons, never thumbnails.uncheck the checkbox for Allow show icons, never thumbnails.
  3. Once done, click on Apply and then OK to save the changes.

2. Restart Windows Explorer Process

If the thumbnails are not disabled but still encounter this issue, you should restart the Windows Explorer Process. To do so, follow the steps given below-

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc key combo to open the Task Manager on your PC. 
  2. Click on More Details to expand the Task Manager. 
  3. Head to the Processes tab and select Windows Explorer.

5. Rebuild Thumbnail Cache

  1. Open Windows 11 Settings app by pressing the Windows + I key combo. 
  2. Here, click on the System >  Storage option on the right side.
