As per reports, WhatsApp is finally inducting the recently approved Unicode characters into its platform – letting users express their feelings better.

The latest bunch includes 4,489 characters, of which 20 are new emojis. Well, this would make upto 31 if you consider the skin tone variations. All these constitute Unicode 15 Standard and are coming to WhatsApp beta users soon.

New WhatsApp Emojis

Bettering the user experience with every update, WhatsApp is adding a bunch of new emojis to its platform now. As reported by WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp beta 2.22.25.12 is having the latest Unicode 15 Standard in it.

This is a set of new characters approved by the Unicode Consortium in mid-September this year that contains 4,489 new characters. Out of these, 20 are new emojis coming for the first time to the public. Well, this count would become 31 if you consider every skin tone variation.

All these new emojis are yet to be available for the public beta users, and we expect them to find in the next few weeks. Further, WhatsApp has also tweaked the appearance of eight older emojis, where it’s significant in certain characters like the pleading face, face holding back tears emoji, and others.

All these can be checked in WhatsApp’s latest beta build, available in Play Store. Though WhatsApp is yet to bring them to the general public, Samsung has got it early for its community! The OEM is the first to induct all the Unicode 15 emojis with its One UI 5 update, which is available to select Galaxy devices.

This is an astonishing feat, considering that OEMs like Google or OnePlus lead the race for new features every time. Well, when they’re available, users can see some interesting additions like a three-color variation of hearts, angel wings, a Wi-Fi symbol, a jellyfish, a flute, etc.
