A teardown of Google’s Playstore apk by 9to5Google revealed that the “My Apps and Games” section revamped completely. This includes condensing the current heads as Updates, Library, Beta, etc to just two categories and also the introduction of offline sharing of apps! While this was just a leak, for now, it may or may not make to next Playstore update.
Google Playstore New Design Revealed in its Apk Teardown
Playstore is one of the prime assets of Google, housing millions of apps, and garnering billions of dollars. Thus, Google taking extra care of making it more productive and cool is always worthy. In such a pursuit, Google is found to be revamping the design of Playstore’s “My apps and games” section.
As found by 9to5Google, the new design of My apps and games condenses the categories from current Updates, Installed, Library, and Beta to Overview and Manage.
The Overview section shows the total apps having updates, availability of space in the device and ratings, and reviews section. Navigating through the last option shows up all your reviews given to all apps.
Further, in the Manage Section, one can see all the apps in their device. These can be filtered by Installed or Uninstalled apps, Updates Available, and changelog when opened. Also, there is even a dedicated section for showing up games apps besides. There’s yet one more feature found in the Overview section – Share Apps.
Though Google allows users to transfer files with the Files Go app, it’s now setting a standalone feature in the Playstore to share apps, offline! Tapping this opens up a radar panel just like File Go, and searches for a nearby device to connect and share apk files.
While these are just teardown leaks as of now, they may or may not be rollout as full-fledged features if Google decides to.
