2. Disable Extensions

3. Clear Cache and Cookies

The cached data of the browser can also be the reason behind the keyboard not working on Google Chrome. To fix this, you need to clear the cache and cookies on Chrome. For that, the steps are given below-

  1. Click on the three dots at the top right corner of Chrome, click on More Tools, and then on Clear Browsing Data.clear browsing data

  4. After doing so, click on the Clear Data option.

4. Update Google Chrome

You may also face the issue of using outdated Google Chrome browsers. To fix the issue, you need to Update your browser to the latest version and then check if you are still facing the issue or not. To do so, follow the steps given below-

  1. On Chrome, click on the menu icon at the top right corner, click on Help, and then on About Google Chrome.

5. Uninstall Third-Party Antivirus

Uninstall your antivirus and check whether it is causing the issue or not. To do so, follow the steps given below-

  1. Go to the Start menu, search for the Control Panel and open it.search for control panel

6. Reset Google Chrome

You can try resetting Chrome if you are still facing the issue. Resetting Chrome will restore all your settings and you should no longer face issues with the keyboard on Google Chrome. To reset Google Chrome, follow the steps given below-

  1. On the Google Chrome window, click on the three dots appearing in the top right corner and then click on Settings. 
  2. On the left sidebar, click on the Advanced option to expand it, and then click on Reset and clean up.

7. Reinstall Google Chrome

  1. Press the Windows key, and search for the Control Panel.
